PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a pointer instrument having an impressive novel and visual recognition properties. SOLUTION: The pointer instrument 1 is provided with a dial 2 having display designs 21 and 22 on the front side; an indicator 6 rotated along the front side of the dial 2; a first light source 8 provided on the side to the back of the dial 2, for transmissively illuminating the dial 2; a reflective body 3 having a first reflective surface 31 for reflecting the light from the first light source 8 to the backside of the dial 2; a slope 24 inclined with respect to the dial 2, at the circumference outside the display designs 21 and 22; and a second light source 9 provided on the side to the backs of the dial 2 and the slope part 24, for illuminating the surface of the slope 24. The reflective body 3 includes a second reflective surface 32 for reflecting the light from the second light source 9 to the surface of the slope 24, on the backside of the first reflective surface 31.
