PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a rotation detector capable of restraining the yield from lowering, resulting from the molding precision of a bias magnet. SOLUTION: Magnetic field characteristics of the bias magnet are measured in a process S2, after molding the bias magnet in a process S1. The bias magnet is assembled integrally with a sensor chip, having a magnetoresistance element to manufacture a rotation detector, when the magnetic field characteristics are the desired characteristics. When the magnetic field characteristics of the bias magnet are not the desired characteristics in the process S2, one portion of the bias magnet is trimmed in a process S5, to be regulated to the desired characteristics, to be thereafter assembled integrally with the sensor chip or the like.
