PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a connection device by an easy construction method, without damaging an existing earth retaining structure, by connecting the existing earth retaining structure and an overhang member for preventing sliding and overturning of the overhang member caused by earth pressure acting on the overhang member, when storing soil dressing for vegetation in a storage space between the existing earth retaining structure and the overhang member. SOLUTION: A connecting member composed of concrete, plastic and resin is integrally adhered to a surface of the existing earth retaining structure by an adhesive, and the existing earth retaining structure and the overhang member are connected via the connecting member by inserting a horizontal member of the overhang member or inserting a vertical member into a locking part processed in the connecting member.
