PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material which has the excellent mechanical strengths and sliding characteristics, especially the excellent friction and wear characteristics represented by the high critical PV value. SOLUTION: The polyamide resin composition contains (A) a polyamide resin obtained from a mixed xylylenediamine consisting of 15-45% by mole of paraxylylenediamine and 85-55% by mole of metaxylylenediamine and from anα,ω-straight chain aliphatic dibasic acid, (B) a fibrous reinforcing material and (C) a solid lubricant, with containing 8-65% by weight of (B) and 8-30% by weight of (C), each based on the sum total weight of (A)+(B)+(C).
