PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sidewall rubber composition having low fuel consumption of a vulcanized product and a small die swell. SOLUTION: The sidewall rubber composition comprises 100 pts. wt. rubber components (a) plus (b) comprising 20-80 wt.% vinyl-cis-polybutadiene rubber (a) composed of a 1,2-polybutadiene crystalline fiber and a rubber component and 80-20 wt.% diene rubber (b) other than (a) and 25-60 pts. wt. rubber reinforcing agent (c), and the 1,2-polybutadiene crystalline fiber included in the vinyl-cis-polybutadiene rubber (a) has an average length of the minor axis of the monodispersed fiber crystal of≤0.2μm and an aspect ratio of≤10, is a short fiber having an average number of the monodipsersed fiber crystal of≥10, and has a melting point of≥170°C.
