PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a functional polymer complex, by which various functional molecules are arranged at distances in a nanometer order, distances among functional molecules in a solution are set constant and controlled, a combination of kinds of functional polymers can be readily changed and functional polymers can be simply bonded to a spacer molecule in an arbitrary solution without impairing the functions of the functional polymers. SOLUTION: The method for producing a functional polymer complex having at least two functional molecules comprises bonding at least two functional molecules having binding activity to a biopolymer to a double-stranded spacer composed of a nucleic acid having binding sites of the functional molecules or its derivative so that the two functional molecules are arranged through the spacer to give the functional polymer complex having a structure in which at least two functional molecules are bonded through the spacer.
