PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a melanin production suppressing substance under a high-temperature condition and to provide a skin care preparation containing a melanin production suppressing substance having improved storage stability under a high-temperature condition. SOLUTION: The skin care preparation contains (1) one or more substances selected from ascorbic acid, its derivative, arbutin, tranexamic acid, 4-methoxysalicylic acid and their salts and (2) a polymer compound having a quaternary amino group and/or its salt.
