PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid composition for the oral cavity, containing methyl salicylate, having excellent application feeling and exhibiting selectively reduced strong burning stimulation without lowering high refreshing feeling and drug action of methyl salicylate. SOLUTION: The liquid composition for the oral cavity comprises (A) 0.001-0.1 mass% methyl salicylate based on the total composition, (B) one or more kinds of perfume components selected from the following group B1 to B3, and (C) a surfactant. (B1) is estragole at a mass ratio of 1:0.0001 to 1:0.01 based on the component A; (B2) is one or more substances selected from creosol, methyl jasmonate and methyl anthranilate at a mass ratio of 1:0.000001 to 1:0.0001 based on the component A; and (B3) is one or more substances selected from violet oil, decalactone, undecalactone, damascone, damascenone, ionone and irone at a mass ratio of 1:0.0000001 to 1:0.00001 based on the component A.
