FIELD: multimedia broadcasting and multi-address service systems (MBMS). ^ SUBSTANCE: method and device are claimed for informing terminals in universal mobile communication system "UMTS", related to information about MBMS service status, to prevent the terminal from requesting a service, which may not be provided in the cell where it is newly positioned.
