Sealing gasket (3) has several apertures (13) of various sizes to accommodate electrodes and passage of gases. Thickened sealing elements (9,12) surround the apertures and are held on support strips (8) made of thin foil (21). The narrow sides (16,17) of the rectangular gasket have centrally-positioned tags (18) with handling attachments (14,15).
