<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a pedestrian capable of smoothly deploying and inflating an airbag from an opening for projecting on a rear end side of a hood panel, even if a gap between the rear end of the hood panel and a wiper is narrow. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 33 to be stored into the case 21 is provided with a bag main body 34 projecting from the case 21 at the time of the completion of inflation and an inflow passage part 47 arranged in the case 21 to connect the inflator 27 and a communicating hole 37 of the bag body 34, in the vicinity of the rear end 18a of the hood panel. The bag body 34 is roll-folded to wind both longitudinal end sides to a vehicle body side wall part side from a flatly deployed state. The inflow passage part 47 is bellows-folded to approach the inflator 27 side to the bag body 23 side. The airbag 33 is stored into the case 21 by folding roll-folded portions 67 and 68 of the bag body 34 to be located on a rear side of the folded inflow passage part 47. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
