<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnoser which can quickly detect various abnormality occurring in the drive circuit for a motor. <P>SOLUTION: This motor drive unit is equipped with an output circuit 8, which generates multiphase AC voltage and supplies the generated AC voltage to an AC motor via a power supply line; a control circuit 6 which switches the output circuit; a bias circuit 9 which supplies an optional line of the power supply line with bias voltage, and monitors 10, 11 and 12 which detect the voltage of each line of the power supply line. This motor drive unit is equipped with a fault diagnoser 6a which detects the abnormality of the power supply line by comparing the voltage of each power supply line, detected by the monitor with two or more set voltages being set in advance, when the output circuit generates output only in the optional line or does not generate an output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
