摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing deterioration of a hydrogen enrichment catalyst and a device for diagnosing deterioration executing the same, and an exhaust emission control system performing regeneration process with using the same to keep H<SB>2</SB>/CO of an equipped hydrogen enrichment catalyst high. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the method for diagnosing deterioration of the hydrogen enrichment catalyst performing diagnosis by CO<SB>2</SB>accumulation quantity. The hydrogen enrichment catalyst deterioration diagnosis device is provided with an inlet CO quantity estimation means estimating inlet CO quantity/time of the hydrogen enrichment catalyst, a catalyst temperature detection means detecting catalyst temperature, a calculation process device storing reference date indicating relation of inlet CO quantity/time, catalyst temperature and CO<SB>2</SB>accumulation quantity/time and deterioration reference data. An exhaust emission control system is provided with the hydrogen enrichment catalyst installed in an exhaust gas flow passage of an internal combustion engine operated under a condition where atmosphere of exhaust gas is lean-rich, this invented device for diagnosing the hydrogen enrichment catalyst and a regeneration process execution device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
