<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to retreat a writing tip part in a barrel with the nib of the barrel as grasped for writing. <P>SOLUTION: In a duplex writing utensil, the writing part of which is selectively protruded from the tip hole of a head shaft and secured by sliding a push-button member, a hole part passing normal to the inner hole of a rear shaft is provided at one place of the peripheral surface of the rear shaft so as to mount a securing releasing member with an abutting part in the hole part so that the securing releasing member is provided workably toward the hole part to its going-in direction. In addition, a hammer with a proper dead weight is provided so as to move back and forth by its own weight to the axial direction so as to face against the securing releasing member in the inner hole of the rear shaft so as to let the hammer retreat by its own weight in order to strikingly contact with the securing releasing member so as to work the securing releasing member to its going-in direction when the head shaft is directed upwards under the condition that the push-button member locating at any one place is in its secured state, resulting in letting the abutting part of the securing releasing member press the push-button member secured in the advanced position of the rear shaft towards the outside of the rear shaft, resulting in releasing the securing of the push-button member and in retreating the push-button member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
