PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnosing device for a turbocharger capable of accurately performing abnormality diagnosis of a variable capacity turbocharger.

SOLUTION: In the variable capacity turbocharger 21, abnormality diagnosis of a variable nozzle 24 is performed with fixing the variable nozzle 24 to a full close position at a time of vehicle deceleration.
