<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and recovering cells in which cells are labeled, then separated and collected by means of a cell separator according to the degree of the labeling wherein the adverse effect on the cells is minimized and the use of recovered cells is facilitated. <P>SOLUTION: When they are labeled, the cells are kept so that the interaction between individual cells may be retained. On the labeling, the labeling special substance is taken into the cells through a transporter on the surface of the target cell, then the cells are dispersed every positional cell and separated with a cell separator. Immediately after separation, the solvent is substituted with a label-free one to remove the labeled special substance taken in the cells.
