PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of more surely recording, e.g. a reserved periodic broadcast program desired by a user. SOLUTION: An information recording apparatus (1) is provided with: a reservation means (102) for reserving the periodic broadcast program by designating a channel, a video recording start time, and a video recording end time of the periodic broadcast program that is periodically (weekly, daily, or monthly or the like) broadcasted; an acquisition means (101) for acquiring an electronic program guide (EPG: Electric Program Guide) information including broadcast time zone information denoting the channel, the video recording start time, and the video recording end time; and a recording means (103) capable of recording the periodic broadcast program; and a control means (102) for (i) controlling the recording means to record the periodic broadcast program from the video recording start time, (ii) searching the broadcast end time of the periodic broadcast program from the electronic program guide information in the midst of the recording of the periodic broadcast program, and (iii) controlling the recording means to record the periodic broadcast program until the searched broadcast end time.
