PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of recording JOB in the past in detail more efficiently with minimum storage capacity. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a means for inputting digitized image information, a means for storing read out document image, a means for outputting a digitized image from the image storage means, a transfer JOB executing means for transferring an image obtained from the image input means to the image output means, a means for recording execution results information of the transfer JOB executing means, a means for extracting character information from digital image information handled by the JOB executing means and recording it as character information, a means for recording the character information obtained by the character extracting means, and a means for referring to character text data stored in the character recording means wherein the character text data recorded by the character recording means is recorded in association with the JOB recording means.
