PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-specifying device capable of specifying a gas, on the basis of color of a medium changing by the chemical reaction between the gas and a reagent. SOLUTION: A detection part 1b detects the color of the medium, after the gas of a specifying target and the reagent chemically react on each other on the medium. A control part 1d specifies color information, showing color most like the color detected by the detection part 1b from color information stored in a spectrum database 1c and reads gas identification information, related to the specified color information from the spectrum database 1c, as gas identification information showing the gas of the specifying target.
