PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems in vegetative works for construction of a grating crib: (1) when the vegetative works are formed in an area where many wild animals live, biting damage, i.e. biting of sprouts germinated from the vegetative works by the wild animals, has occurred frequently; and (2) in implementation of a method of constructing a grating crib by using thinnings, the wild animals bite soft bark sections and therefore there is a possibility that the thinnings are moved to destroy the grating crib. SOLUTION: There is provided a grating crib with a biting damage preventive net, which is formed of a grating crib section at least made up of transverse bars or at least made up of longitudinal bars, and a net section attached to a surface of the grating crib section. The grating crib secures a growth protective height between the natural ground surface of a slope and the net. According to the structure of the grating crib, the net is set at a height that is separated a length equal to the length of sprouts away from the natural ground surface of the slope, as the growth protective height.
