PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a print quality to be brought more close to the quality of photography by applying a curl, which makes both sides of print convex, to a post-printing rolled paper, which tends to curl to the side of the thermal head (the printed side becomes concave) due to the effect of the action of heat and pressure of the thermal head, same as for printing papers of silver salt photography. SOLUTION: The pressurized-contact position of the heating element of the thermal head 11 with the rolled paper 21 on a platen roller 12 of a thermal-head printer 10 is established so that the contact-position may be shifted by the angle of L to the upstream side in the rotational direction of the platen roller 12 from the contact-finished position of the platen roller 12 with the rolled paper 21.
