<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the fault of a current flowing to the drive circuit of a power supply device. <P>SOLUTION: A current detector 60a starts sampling at timing, when a motor current MCRT exceeds a threshold MCRT_std, and holds a motor current maximum value MCRT_max for every predetermined operation period. An abnormality determining part 62a determines whether the motor current maximum value MCRT_max is larger than the threshold MCRT_std, and counts the number of times MCRT_max continuously exceeds the threshold MCRT_std. The abnormality determining part 62a generates a detection signal DET for designating a motor current abnormality, when the counted value reaches at least 3 or more, and outputs it to a relay driver 64 and a notifying part 66. The relay driver 64 generates a signal SE, when the detection signal DET is received, and turns off a system relay.
