<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of showing a high cleaning property to medical equipment such as artificial dialyzers or the like and various industrial equipment or the like and capable of reducing a load on environment due to waste water. <P>SOLUTION: After sterilizing and cleaning a material to be cleaned with a cleaning liquid 1 containing a chlorine-based sterilizing cleaning agent, an acid cleaning is performed to the material to be cleaned with a cleaning liquid 2 which is adjusted not over pH 4 by adding a reducing agent to the cleaning liquid 1.
