<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glassy carbon-made component having a structure such that a plurality of members is joined to each other and having a strength sufficiently practicable as a joined structure, and to provide its production method. <P>SOLUTION: The production method comprises: a process for joining a plurality of thermosetting resin-made members each having a thickness of ≤4 mm; a process for arranging a plurality of reinforcing rib pieces each having a thickness of ≤4 mm at the joined portion of the obtained joined body so as to abut on the respective joined members to bond the above reinforcing rib pieces to the joined members using a liquid thermosetting resin as an adhesive; a process for hardening by heating the adhesive serving as adhesion; a process for chipping off the thick portions caused by adhesive sticking after hardening to the thickness of ≤4 mm; and a process for carbonizing the obtained joined body with the reinforcing rib. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
