<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of automatically switching a DVI input into a composite or component input image when an HDCP authentication is failed. <P>SOLUTION: A switching control section 14 of the television receiver 1 applies switching control to a changeover switch 13 to throw a common terminal c to a position of a terminal b, that is, to switch the internal connection to a digital input terminal 12 thereby judging whether or not a DVI cable 24 is connected to the digital input terminal 12. As a result, when the DVI cable 24 is connected, the television receiver 1 starts the HDCP authentication, applies switching control to the changeover switch 13 to throw the common terminal c to a position of a terminal a, that is, to switch the internal connection from the digital input terminal 12 to an analog input terminal 11 being an input terminal of a preset composite signal or component signal when the HDCP authentication is failed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
