PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for a vehicle capable of performing search for facilities and/or notification of the searched facilities, in which it is taken into account whether the facilities are difficult for accessing by a car. SOLUTION: An area corresponding to a downtown area is set, on the basis of map drawing data and information searched data. Further, a traffic congestion occurrence area is set, on the basis of externally acquired traffic congestion information. The facilities, belonging to the downtown area or the traffic congestion occurrence area, are identified as the facilities difficult of accessing by car. Accordingly, the search for the facilities excluding the facilities difficult of access by the car can be performed, or when the facilities difficult of access by the car are included in the search result, a user is notified to that effect.
