PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of reducing electromagnetic noise radiated through a steering shaft, by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The steering shaft 14 is connected to a steering wheel 12 at one end, and connected to a steering gear side at the other end. A transfer ratio variable steering system 20 is disposed in the steering shaft 14. An earth member 70 passing the electric potential of the steering shaft 14 to the ground is connected to the steering shaft 14. The transfer ratio variable steering system 20 generates electromagnetic noise when a motor 22 is driven, and the electromagnetic noise is transmitted to the steering shaft 14. However, the steering shaft 14 is grounded, so that the radiation of the electromagnetic noise is suppressed, and noise of a radio or a television loaded on a vehicle is reduced.
