PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power socket which lets the user know the occurrence of tracking or leakage, without breaking the power of a load device connected to it. SOLUTION: The power socket 1 comprises a receiving edge 4 which connects a plug with an electrical path 3, catching the plugging edge of a plug, a sensor 5 which detects spark discharges generated between the plugging edges; a tracking detection circuit 6 which outputs a signal, when it detects tracking by the output current of the sensor 5; a zero-phase current transformer 7 which detects the leaked current flowing in the electrical path 3; a leakage detecting circuit 8 which outputs a signal, when it detects leakage by the output signal of the zero-phase current transformer 7; and a warning means 9 which operates by the output signal of the tracking detection circuit 6 or the output signal of the leakage detecting circuit 8.
