PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetron which can suppress cost increase to a minimum, while achieving reduction of line noises. SOLUTION: A plurality of positive electrode vanes 10 have a shape of each of the top end portion facing the negative electrode 3 in which the center part has a flat portion 10A and the length dimensions from the positive electrode cylinder fixing end to the tip part are gradually made shorter and cut into a taper shape to make a taper-shape part 10B from the flat part 10A toward both end parts in the axial direction.
