PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording/reproducing device which can reduce the error rate, irrespective of the position of a head slider over a magnetic disk. SOLUTION: There are provided a magnetic recording medium having a discrete track formed of a pattern of a concentric magnetic material and the head slider having the recording/reproducing head. When the head slider is positioned over the outermost circumferential recording area of the magnetic recording medium, an angle between the virtual lines connecting the rotational center of the magnetic recording medium with the both ends the head slider is≥5°.
