PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a antivirus type storage device having a function of preventing computer virus infection and appropriately coping with the computer virus infection. SOLUTION: The antivirus type storage device comprises an infection table means 16 for managing whether a file stored in a disk is infected with a virus, a table registering means 17 for receiving a detection result of a virus checker for detecting whether the file stored in the disk is infected with the virus and registers it into an infection table means 16, a determining means 18 for determining whether the file is infected with the virus by referring to the infection table means 16 when the use of the file stored in the disk is requested from the outside, and a prohibiting means 19 for prohibiting the use of the file when the determining means 18 determines that the file is infected with the virus.
