A hermetic compressor is provided to allow a stator coil to have sufficient tensile strength and bending strength and to prevent an insulating layer from being broken. A hermetic compressor comprises a driving motor having a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a core and a stator coil(50) wound around the core. The rotor rotates by electromagnetic interaction with the stator. The stator coil is made of an aluminum wire(51) having a diameter of 0.4mm to 1.2mm. Aluminum contained in the aluminum wire has a degree of purity larger than 99.7%. An insulating layer(52) made of synthetic resin and a magnetic lubrication layer(53) sequentially coated on the outer surface of the aluminum wire. The insulating layer includes a first insulating layer(52a) and a second insulating layer(52b) positioned outside the first insulating layer.
