A digital broadcast receiving apparatus incorporated in a mobile terminal and comprising receiving means (1) for receiving program contents; recording means (2) for storing, as recorded data, the program contents from the receiving means (1); reproducing means (3) for reproducing the program contents from the receiving means (1) or the recorded data from the recording means (2); monitoring means (4) for monitoring the status of the mobile terminal; and recording/reproducing control means (5) for, based on a monitoring result from the monitoring means (4), causing the reproducing means (3) to reproduce program contents from the receiving means (1), causing the recording means (2) to store, as recorded data, program contents from the receiving means (1), and reading the recoded data from the recording means (2) to cause the reproducing means (3) to reproduce the recoded data, thereby controlling the recording/reproducing of the program contents.
