The machine system has a pair of conveyors [11,17] on which the metal sheet is placed and is cut by a laser [L1]. The belts pass around fixed rollers [9,10,15,16] and rollers [7,8,13,14] mounted on an adjustable slide [6,12]. The slide may be moved laterally to adjust the gap [O] between the belts in the machining area.
