<p>There is provided a switching regulator capable of realizing stabilized circuit operation while sustaining high efficiency. The power supply device (100) comprises a switching regulator (10), a linear regulator (16), a timer circuit (18), a control circuit (20), an inverter (22), and a switch SW1. The power supply device (100) is a step-down DC/DC converter for outputting an input voltage Vin inputted to an input terminal (102) to an output terminal (104) while stepping it down to an output voltage Vout. The timer circuit (18) counts the time elapsed after actuation of the power supply device is instructed by a control signal Vcnt, and brings its output signal Vtime to high when a predetermined time Tp has elapsed. When the output signal Vtime goes high, the switch SW1 is turned on to supply the output voltage Vout to the power supply terminal (30) of the control circuit (20).</p> |
