In response to a transfer request of a portable terminal through input operation or communication, a two-dimensional code representing the scale of map information for guidance displayed on a vehicle-mounted terminal and the current position of the vehicle is generated. The two-dimensional code is displayed on a terminal display section along with the map information on the area corresponding to the area displayed on the portable terminal. The two-dimensional code is imaged by imaging means of the portable terminal, and the scale and the current position are recognized by code analyzing means. The map information on the area including at least the current position according to the scale is received from a server and displayed on the display section of the portable terminal. By continuing map information in a similar displayed state, the user can well continue guidance even by a different terminal without uncomfortable feeling.
