<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doctoring state judging device and method, which prevents a plate fogging from developing and makes it possible not to suffer damage due to the occurrence of inferior printed matters. <P>SOLUTION: This doctoring state judging device is equipped with a sliding terminal for obtaining electrical conduction through its sliding contact with the surface of a gravure cylinder plate or its shaft and a fixed terminal for obtaining electrical conduction through the fixation to a doctor holder for holding a doctor blade and has a resistance measuring means for measuring the value of electrical resistance at the place contacting between the surface of the plate and the edge of the doctor blade, a situation judging means, which judges a doctoring situation as poor when the value of the resistance exceeds the set value of resistance and a doctoring situation judging device equipped with an alarming means for issuing an alarm when the situation judging means judges the doctoring situation as poor and the method applying to this device is also dealt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
