SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTERACTIVE MULTI-VIEW VIDEO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interactive multi-view video which presents a new type of video capture system.

SOLUTION: A plurality of video cameras are assigned to capture an event from various related positions and directions. A captured video is compressed in a control PC at real time and sent to a server. By transcoding the compressed video using an off-line compression technique, data volume is further reduced. A user accesses the server and subscribes to a new type of service which enables the user to receive multi-view video interactively.
