<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve business efficiency in update of an insurance contract. <P>SOLUTION: This update processing method includes: a process for referring to information storage part storing contract information of an update target, deciding whether the contract of each the update target satisfies a first condition for specifying the update target contract to produce an application or not, and registering first information showing that the application is to be generated correspondingly to the update target contract decided to satisfy the first condition; and a process for deciding whether or not each the update target contract except the update target contract satisfies a second condition including a condition for omitting a confirmation process in accounting after an update application is performed, registering second information showing that an application file is to be generated correspondingly to the update target contract decided not to satisfy the second condition, and registering third information showing that procedure is performed on-line correspondingly to the update target contract decided to satisfy the second condition.
