摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the starting time of a fuel cell system and to reduce a capacity of a battery for starting. <P>SOLUTION: At the regular operation, hydrogen is supplied from a hydrogen tank 4 through pressure regulating valves 5, 6 to an external humidification type fuel cell 2 and an internal humidification type fuel cell 3. An anode off-gas of the external humidification fuel cell 2 is mixed by an ejector 14 with an anode off-gas of the internal humidification fuel cell 3, and supplied to the inlet of the ejector 15. An ejector 15 takes in the anode off-gases from an inlet with fresh hydrogen gas as the driving flow, and supplies the mixed gas of both to the anode of the internal humidification type fuel cell 3. At the starting time of the fuel cell system 1, a cooling water heated by an electric heater 32 is circulated, and the external humidification type fuel cell 2 which has less water content is first thawed, and the power generation of the external humidification type fuel cell 2 is made to start.
