PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a panoramic image without uncomfortable feeling for changes of photographing conditions or the like. SOLUTION: A video signal from an imaging apparatus 10 as imaging means is supplied to a video capture board 31 of a computer apparatus 30. In a lens block 11 a variable power lens is driven by a drive instruction from a camera controller 41. The imaging apparatus 10 is installed on a rotary camera platform 50 and is driven in every direction by a drive instruction from a pantilter controller 43. A mode controller 42 controls the imaging apparatus 10 and the rotary camera platform 50 for an absolute position drive request from the computer 30. The computer apparatus 30 comprises a memory device 32, an image processing apparatus 33, and a control device 34. These apparatuses implement video signal processing and control for the formation of a panorama image, and various photographing conditions such as photographing time, exposure, white balance are added and stored when the video signal is stored in the memory device 32.
