PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, at low cost, a lightweight vibration isolator having a stopper mechanism against the excessive displacement of a vibration isolating base body in the upper and horizontal directions. SOLUTION: An inner tube 16 is joined to a mounting member 12 with an opening part 24 surrounding the inner tube through a rubber-like elastic vibration isolating base body 14. A tubular part 32 is formed extendedly from the opening part 24 downward. A first stopper rubber 36 is installed between the tubular part and the inner tube 16 to secure a clearance 38, and a first stopper is installed to limit the displacement of the inner tube 16 in the horizontal direction. Also, an extension part 46 extending from the lower end of the inner tube 16 outward is formed, a second stopper rubber 48 is installed between the extension part and the lower end of the tubular part 32 to secure a clearance 50, and a second stopper 52 is installed to limit the upward displacement of the inner tube 16.
