<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film that has satisfactory weather resistance and is effective to absorb UV light. <P>SOLUTION: A UV-resistant coating containing a resin, which contains an acrylate monomer as a polymerization unit, and inorganic particles is formed on at least one surface of the support of the optical film. The support includes at least one polymer layer. The inorganic particles are selected from a group consisting of zinc oxide, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, alumina, calcium sulfide, barium sulfate, and calcium carbonate, and a mixture thereof.
