<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color display apparatus capable of displaying a color image with high resolution and high quality. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises; a display section 200 for emitting projection light by sequentially displaying a sub-frame image of a plurality of colors for each color based on inputted image information; and a beam position control section 300 for controlling a beam position of projection light emitted from the display section by synchronizing with timing in which the display section sequentially displays the sub-frame image. The display section performs modulation for each pixel of the display section based on the inputted image information and the beam position control section controls the position so that the beam position of the emitted projection light from each pixel of the display section may become a plurality of points in one frame period and the beams of the projection light of all the plurality of colors may be positioned in each beam position of the plurality of points by performing the beam position control in one frame period, in N frames period (N is an integer equal to or more than 2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
