<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation control unit which can suppress the occurrence of noise and also can prevent the output current or the generated torque of a generator for vehicle from sudden increase. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation controller 1 is equipped with a transistor chopper system of exciting circuit which has a bridge circuit connected to the exciting winding 204 of a generator 2 for vehicle and where a pair of facing first arms of this bridge circuit are constituted of MOSFETs 10 and 11, and a pair of other second arms are constituted of diodes 13 and 14. There are a reflux mode, where an exciting current is circulated by synchronously controlling one MOSFET 11 into ON-state and switching on or switching off the other MOSFET 10, and a regeneration mode, where it regenerates the exciting current by switching on or switching off the two MOSFETs 10 and 11. An operation mode selecting circuit 17 selects the regeneration mode, when there is only a little margin in power generation of the generator 2 for vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
