PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out restoration so that flow or blur of an image which occurs when picking up an image of a moving subject does not occur in a still image. SOLUTION: An image component modulated by a modulation spread signal is dispersed on a moving trace and stored in a picked-up image memory as a picked-up image from an exposure starting time to exposure completion time; and the picked-up image stored in the picked-up image memory is moved in a moving direction or in an opposite direction to the moving direction while being remodulated by a demodulation spread signal. Thus, a vivid still image of the subject which has not lost high frequency components but include them can be obtained by performing cross correlation operation to condense dispersed image components.
