PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform multiple value dot point processing for a non-photographic image, such as characters, figures, etc., and perform high quality printing which draws sharply the peripheral edge of the non-photographic image, when the half-tone image is output. SOLUTION: The device analyzes image data containing a non-photograph image, extracts vector data of the non-photograph image, and perform RIP processings and dot-point processings. Furthermore, it draws the peripheral edge of the non-photograph image with a non-dot point, line by extracting a pixel group corresponding to the peripheral edge of the non-photographic image contained in the image data performed RIP processing and dot-point processing, and switching the extracted pixel group to a group with output.
