PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate color wheel at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the color wheel 10 comprising a plurality of sector color filter segments, one of the filter segments 12 includes a projecting part 12a which directly comes into contact with recesses 14a to 18a that are receiving parts of other color filter segments 14 to 18, whereby the geometric accuracy of the color wheel 10 can be achieved only with the sector color filter segments 12 to 18. Also, the alignment process of the filter segments for preventing the color wheel 10 from generating vibrations and noises at the time of spinning at high speed can be simplified or even eliminated thus preventing the number of manufacturing processes from increasing.
