OPTICAL FILTER AND PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter which has sufficient impact resistance and high transparency even when a plasma display panel using the optical filter provided with an impact resistant layer containing ethylene vinyl acetate is subjected to heat load and humidification heat load, and to provide a plasma display panel using the optical filter. SOLUTION: The optical filter is an optical filter having (1) the impact resistant layer and (2) has the impact resistant layer of <90 in Shore A hardness and (3) the impact resistant layer is formed of a resin composition having the ethylene vinyl acetate containing vinyl acetate and is suppressed in the crystallization of the ethylene vinyl acetate. The optical filter has the property that the internal haze of the impact resistant layer after heat load and/or wet heat load can maintain≤3.0%. The content of the vinyl acetate in the ethylene vinyl acetate is preferably 25 to 35mass%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
