PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification method of a oligosaccharide capable of easily and accurately identifying an oligosaccharide having a composition similar to that of keratin sulfate. SOLUTION: The identification method of the oligosaccahride includes a process (i) for ionizing the oligosaccharide to be inspected represented by either one of the following general formula: (Gal-GlcNAc)m, (GlcNAc-Gal)m, GlcNAc-(Gal-GlcNAc)m and Gal-(GlcNAc-Gal)m (wherein Gal is a galactose residue, GlcNAc is an N-acetyl glucosamine residue, (-) is a glycoside bond and (m) is an integer of 1-5) by an ESI method or an MALDI method and once or above performing the fragmentation of the obtained ions to obtain the data related to the n-th power spectrum (n is an integer of 2 or above) of the mass analysis related to the oligosaccharide and a process (ii) for comparing the data obtained in the process (i) with the data related to the n-th power spectrum (n is an integer of 2 or above) of the mass analysis related to a standard oligosaccharide.
